Do you ever give discounts on minerals?
No, we do not provide discounts on individual mineral specimens. We try our best to price the minerals and jewelry fairly. Unlike other dealers, we do not add 20% to the asking price, so that we can give a discount to every customer. All prices are NET.
How do you derive the price of your minerals and jewelry?
We start with the purchase price of the mineral or jewelry components. We add our overhead costs, interest costs, incoming shipping cost, my time finding, boxing, labeling, cleaning, etc. Then add my small profit margin. This is a labor of love and a commitment to the mineral-loving community.
How do I know if a mineral is still available?
Assume that if the mineral is pictured in the mineral galleries that it is still available. Upon receipt of your order you will be emailed a confirmation, usually within 24 hours.
If I request a mineral or piece of jewelry that is already sold, will you send a substitute?
No. Each mineral specimen is unique. We will never ship a substitute. However, I some times have multiple specimens from the same location, you may request to see pictures of these additional items. Please e-mail me if the item you want is sold to see if there are others available.
How quickly do you send Shipments?
Shipments will be made upon receipt of good funds. Orders will be shipped upon receipt/processing of payment. Personal Checks must clear our bank before mineral will be shipped. Usually in 10 business days.
How are the minerals shipped?
Your order will be shipped fully insured via US Postal Service First Class or Priority Mail. International orders are shipped Air Mail. All packages are insured for full value, unless otherwise instructed. If you require faster delivery, email us to make special arrangements.
Do you ship minerals internationally?
Yes. The recipient is responsible for all customs duties and fees charged at the destination country.
Who pays for shipping?
The customer pays for shipping. When you receive your email confirmation the shipping and insurance charges will be itemized.
Do you have a store I can visit?
No. The mineral business has changed over the years, and a store requires too much overhead cost to make the business profitable. We solely sell our treasures over the Internet.
There are so many minerals and jewelry to choose from, do you make recommendations?
Yes, we are happy to help and advise you when selecting minerals or jewelry. Every specimen is unique and we can help judge relative quality or rarity. If you are looking for a gift, we can point you towards some unique specimens or jewelry and work within your price range. Our goal is to help you build the best collection possible in your price range and size.
I do not see what I am looking for, do you have other mineral specimens available?
We have significant minerals, rocks, and jewelry in our stock. All specimens are cataloged in my database making searches and queries easy to handle. Send us your request, and we will respond with a custom listing.
Do you take returns?
Yes, no questions asked. We offer 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed. A purchase may be returned within 10 business days if notification to Jeepers-Keepers is made within 3 days of receipt, returned in the same condition as received with all paper work attached. The specimen must be returned in the same condition with all papers that was sent with it for a refund. This includes historical labels as they are part of the value of the mineral. Refund will be made by the method of payment less shipping expense. Refunds will be made with in ten business days of receipt of the returned item.
Can I trade up?
A mineral purchased from Jeepers-Keepers may be used to trade up for a like mineral that is at least 50% greater in price. The item must be returned with the original label and if possible the invoice to validate what was paid for the item. Credit will be given for the selling price of the mineral. Sorry shipping does not count as part of the value of the specimen, therefore shipping expenses are not credit for trade up items.
Payment
Payment may be made through PAYPAL, cashiers check, personal check, or money order. No COD Orders accepted.
